Our Marin Chapter hosted its parent organization, California Grand Jurors’ Association (CGJA), for its 39th Annual Conference at the Embassy Suites in San Rafael with 8 chapter members in attendance.
Two weeks prior to the conference, the scheduled keynote speaker canceled due a family emergency! The CGJA requested MCCGJA’s assistance in finding a speaker. Past president, Larry Bauer, reached out to Damon Connolly who accepted the request amid his campaigning for a state assembly seat.

24 chapters were represented during the two days of speakers and panels that shared various concerns and approaches in finding new avenues of aid to both grand juries and court officials. Panels included a Court Executive Officer and Superior Court Judge providing a different view on topics of discussion.
The event closed with Travis Gibbons being was sworn in as the new CGJA president.
