The MCCGJA has a number of social gatherings during the year. In late June we hold our annual meeting. We review this year’s accomplishments and thank and recognize various officers and committees. Also, the proposed slate of new officers are introduced and voted on, followed by delicious food and a stimulating, thought provoking speaker. In early July we hold a reception to greet the incoming civil grand jury, celebrate the end of the new jury’s training, and to thank the outgoing grand jury.
The association periodically has picnics, and/or lunches at local restaurants for socializing (enjoying each other’s company) and for the presentation of awards and recognitions. At our luncheons, we provide speakers who reinforce the importance of a grand jury by speaking of county needs or discussing what we have already done to make our county a better place.
