Within three weeks of the May 11 release of the Grand Jury report Cyberattacks: A growing Threat to Marin, the Marin IJ published two articles on this perturbing issue and another article appears in the online Marin Post. The report’s investigation discovered past undisclosed network breaches and financial losses by municipalities and county offices, recognizes government efforts to strengthen cyber security but recommends greater sharing and compliance of best practices knowledge to protect government data and defend against assault.
