On April 2, Ethan Rarick, executive director of the California Little Hoover Commission, spoke about how this independent citizens’ body works to improve state government. The event, initiated and underwritten by the Marin Chapter of the Civil Grand Jurors Association, was co-sponsored by the Marin League of Women Voters and the Marin Coalition. The talk took place at the Marin Rod And Gun Club in San Rafael and attended by over 50 people.

The Little Hoover Commission makes recommendations to the governor and legislature on how to improve state government. In other words, its mission resembles that of the Civil Grand Jury, but at the state level.
