You are invited to meet and hear Derek Johnson the new County Executive officer for Marin!
The Marin Chapter, Civil Grand Jurors’ Association is hosting a talk by the County Executive on Thursday, February 20 from 5PM to 7 PM at McGinnis Park Restaurant in San Rafael.
The event is for current and past members of the jury. This is a hosted event.
There is no charge for attendance, appetizers or beverages – including beer and wine.
Attendees are encouraged to come with suggestions for potential investigations by Marin’s 2025-2026 Civil Grand Jury. A suggestion box will be provided.
This is a good time for you to suggest possible candidates for the next jury. Tell the qualified people you know that applications are being taken now.
Derek Johnson, a Marin native, returns to Marin after more than a decade of service in San Luis Obispo, including six years as city manager and previous experience as assistant city manager and director of community development. Before his time in SLO, Johnson filled high-profile roles in Santa Barbara County and Goleta. Derek’s selection follows a nationwide search that drew nearly 60 candidates
